Taxi Ribbon Help
In MSFS 2024, the Taxi Ribbon is a colored path on the ground. It shows you exactly where to drive the plane from the gate to the runway â and back!
Follow the ribbon like a road in a video game. Stay in the middle!

Options â Assistance â turn ON Taxi Ribbon (or Taxi Navigation).

Go Slow
Taxi speed should feel like a slow walk.
đĄ Tiny throttle. If you're rushing, you're too fast.
Steer with Rudder
Use rudder (twist stick) to follow the ribbon. Not the stick left/right!
Tiny Corrections
Tap rudder, wait, look. Then tap again if needed.
Turns on the Ribbon
At corners, slow down first. Make wide, gentle turns.
When to Stop
Stop at hold short lines before the runway. Set parking brake.
Ribbon Troubleshooting
I don't see the Taxi Ribbon
Fix: Ask a parent to turn on Taxi Ribbon in Options â Assistance. You may need to restart at a gate.
I drove off the ribbon
Fix: Stop. Pause. Look at the ribbon path. Turn slowly back toward it with tiny rudder taps.
I can't follow the ribbon â too fast
Fix: Pull throttle to idle. Tap brakes. Wait until slow, then try again.
I zig-zag on the ribbon
Fix: Smaller rudder taps! Look farther ahead. Slow down.
